I’m usually not inclined to email out website links…but the “Astronomy Picture of the Day” (APOD) site has some of the best images in the world on it!

And from time to time there are images that come up on the site that stagger the mind…as does today’s picture!

I have studied and photographed exotic clouds for many years…and yet a cloud phenomenon comes along that I’ve never heard of or witnessed and has scientists baffled!
