Bohemian Waxwings flock to a Mountain Ash to gorge on berries. Sometimes the berries have fermented & they can get tipsy from digesting them.
The surrounding trees on this day filled with perhaps 700-800 birds that actually stuck around for quite a while.
High strung & easily spooked for no apparent reason, the entire flock exploded all at once with a thunderous roar & vanished.
