“…Autumn dusk paints the northern coast and Beaufort Sea with blue sweet light as a brilliant three quarter moon rises in the north. Seagulls flock to the tip of a sandbar lying low in the brisk Arctic winds. After searching for food along the beach a mother Polar Bear rests for a moment, blocking the winds from her twin cubs as they cuddle to the right leeward side of her. It is a beautiful and delicate scene coming together briefly as the Polar Bear family begins their day in their quest for survival on the raw and severe coastal plains of Alaska’s North Slope…
