“…After many windless days & nights of ice fog covering the land, thick hoarfrost built up crystal by crystal on every surface. Appearing as if ‘dipped in sugar’ the glacial delta transformed itself into a delicate coating of ice. A half moon glides high in the southwest sky blanketing the mountains & valley floor with sweet light. Adding to the wondrous scene from high above the Earth, multiple curtains of sparkling aurora exploded across the night. By dawn the wind began to stir, knocking the frost to the ground…”
