“…The entire Susitna Valley explodes with delicate hues as the arrival of spring peaks across Alaska. Point McKenzie just out across Knik Arm contrasting with Mount Susitna as it is silhouetted by the pastel skies in the northwest. The ancient glacial steppes carved out so long ago are rich with boundless forests, colossal rivers & a large variety of wildlife. Low tide reflects color with giant ice blocks left ashore by the receding waters. High winds streak the sheets of rain falling from the delicate clouds above…”
