“…Mid-winter January locks the land in its frigid grip once again. Massive icebergs larger than trucks sit jumbled on the shores of the Chulitna, Susitna and Talkeetna Rivers after flooding set them high on their banks before receding. A low southern setting moon illuminates the snow covered bergs and the grand peaks of the central Alaska Range, Mount Foraker, Hunter and Denali in the far distance.
