“…Just after midnight, with most folks in the city of Anchorage fast asleep, the sky blazed green with huge auroral swirls & arcs of color and beauty. The majestic display danced vigorously above the city for several minutes, dwarfing the small man-made lights below. Folks who were awake & outside were treated to a rare & wonderful show. If the power output of such an aurora were able to be collected & stored for mans’ use there would be enough to run Anchorage’s energy needs for a year or so…”
