“…An early spring snow melt begins to bring ground water to the surface of the Knik River Delta & its countless tributaries after being locked in ice through a frigid winter. As the full moon clears the lofty peaks of the western Chugach Range, smooth waters draw the reflection to shore. Within seconds vibrant auroras emanate from the east & swirl amid the stars. All night huge flocks of waterfowl call aloud as they fly by the light of their migratory moon returning to nest across the great expanse of Alaska…”
