Magical Prince William Sound

Between storms, there are circumstances when Alaska’s Prince William Sound allows us enchanted moments!

There were at least a dozen Orcas in the pod. Some breached & played…and the water boiled when they were feeding.

The Cow and her young calf were just the best. The calf was spy-hopping from time to time pretty close too, certainly curious.

They nuzzled and were chirping, clicking & squealing which resonated through the hull of the boat & could be heard really well.

It’s was pretty stunning…though it was tempting to have stayed with them, we were permitted a brief ‘wild gift’ & left them to their peace!

Yet another reason we love our Alaska!
