“…A great autumn storm swept in from the Bering Sea threatening to cover Alaskan skies. Around midnight the thick ceiling of clouds parted over Talkeetna and the winds turned calm. Soft ghostly aurora appeared, pulsing above in the moonless night for several hours, lending hope for things to come. Just before the dawn, a massive and rare lavender aurora spread its wings across the stars, exploding in grand silence for a moment. The Super Cub floats motionless on the glassy, mirrored lake, longing to be aloft for the ultimate scenic flight…”
