Emerald Arc

Winner: Janine T. of Hollandale, Wisconsin
A low spring moonset casts its celestial light across the great peaks of Mt. Sanford, Drum, Wrangell and Blackburn in the 13.2 million acre Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park and Preserve. In this northwest-to-southeast 180° panorama view the massive oxbow-meander of the frozen Copper River cradles the great emerald arc of aurora as the vivid display fills the night dancing above the wild Copper River Basin
