The Lyrid Meteor shower was relatively active on Monday night with about 50+ meteors seen within the 4 hours of “night” Alaska currently has.

 

Though 2 large fireballs were enjoyed, they were behind & above the camera view.  In all I managed to capture 5 smaller ‘shoote...

If you didn’t get to see the total eclipse of the moon last night…well…it was a magnificent event! The star Spica is to the right!

 

Of course Alaska had an extra nice view…with a tiny bit of twilight to the N.W., the Milky Way, a touch of Auroral glow & the total eclips...

The magnificent Alaskan Bald Eagle…at all times the greatest raptor…is blessed with an easy late evening meal!

Kids fishing the beach had hooked this Cod & released it…only for it to have otherwise caught the eye of this Eagle.

 

It circled in, sending sea ducks & seagull...
